Super Summer doll crafts from Karen Mom of Three

Having trouble keeping the kids busy now that school's out? Or maybe those special grandchildren are coming for a visit? What to do? Start with Karen Owen's blog. Today she's making ice cream cones for dolls. You can see by her writing how encouraging she is to all her readers. Also today, she featured Beach Baby Doll in her blog "A Visit With Sylvia of Beach Baby Doll" How sweet is that for me!
Karen must be a very busy woman, but she stops to enjoy people and the good things. She's a Mom of Three (boys)! She even has a summer reading club for girls to share their reading of the American Girl books. I like those books too! Here's Karen reading in her comfy chair:

What Christmas and Easter and Life is all about!

What's the Good News of Christ?" It's Good News for everyone that God sent Himself into the world to be a man and to become a substitute taking the punishment for man for all his sins. The Bible says everyone sins. Did you ever even tell one little "white lie" or say or think something unkind about someone? Then you have sinned. And we become enslaved by guilt and our sins. Ugh! Sin saps our energy.The Bible says we are dead spiritually, when we don't know Jesus Christ as our Savior. That means we can't really get close to God, our Creator, because He is perfect but our sin separates us from Him. So we need to get a life and know God (Jesus). When we learn about how God sent Jesus for us, we trust in Him to be able to wipe out COMPLETELY our sins that separate us from God.. We can learn about God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit in the Bible which is God's true Word. After we learn how much He loves us, we can approach Him for forgiveness. He accepts our plea in trust for forgiveness and saves us, giving us new life in Him. All the stuff we did wrong is wiped out because Jesus died on the cross for each of us. He totally conquered sin and death when He rose again at His resurrection. Knowing that and trusting Him for our salvation, we can start to really live through the gift of the Holy Spirit in our heart which is Jesus's Spirit that He promised us. We're still going to sin but the Holy Spirit will help us know when that happens so we can approach the Lord about it and learn to live more like He did on earth. And even more wonderful, Jesus says when we come to Him for salvation, He makes us a place in Heaven with Him so we will live forever. If you don't know about this in your heart, pray first even if you don't know what to say, check out the Bible, use a translation you can understand and read the book of John in the New Testament. John 3:16 is very famous and so is the next verse #17. ¹⁶" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." If you are really interested in learning more about who God is, ask a pastor or Christian friend to give you some help learning about Jesus in the Bible and to pray for you. You can pray anytime. God loves to hear from you!
